West Irondequoit music department earns national honor

For the 19th time in 21 years and 12th in a row, West Irondequoit has made the North American Music Merchants Foundation’s (NAMMF) annual list of communities deemed Best for Music Education in America. Districts are chosen for an "exceptionally high commitment and access to music education." To see the full list, click here.             


Led by Mr. Steven Zugelder, the Director of Music and Performing Arts, West Irondequoit Central Schools’ music program spans from kindergarten through 12th grade. It encompasses General Music for students in grades K-8; Instrumental Music, String Music and Vocal Music for students in grades 4-12; and Advanced Placement Music for high school students.
