Posted on 05/29/2020

Dear West Irondequoit Families:

Thoughtexchange: As we look to close out the 2019-20 school year and plan for the fall, we’re asking for your thoughts on our management of the COVID-19 pandemic over the past few months. Please check your email to participate “Thoughtexchange.” Your input is important to us.

Budget vote: Ballots are already arriving in households via the mail. Please read all instructions carefully before mailing. Starting Monday, June 1st, we also will have a secure drop box at District Office, 321 List Ave., where you can submit ballots 24/7. The deadline is 5 PM June 9th. To request additional ballots and read more information, please click this link to our District Budget Vote Information Page.

Budget Hearing, Part 2: We will present our second 2020 Budget Hearing at 5 p.m. Monday, June 1st. Unexpected technical difficulties on Thursday, May 28th prevented us from streaming live as we had done for several weeks via Zoom Communications to our YouTube channel. We are working to solve the issue. Please check our website and Facebook page Monday for links to Monday’s broadcast. If you’d like to participate in the Public Comment portion of the hearing, please email jeffrey_diveronica@westiron.monroe.edu before 3 p.m. on Monday, June 1st and he’ll give you the details to join that meeting.

If you cannot join Monday’s live hearing and have comments or questions, feel free to email Superintendent, Aaron Jonson, at aaron_johnson@westiron.monroe.edu.

You can watch the recorded presentation of the 2020 Budget Hearing at this link.
