Submit free meals applications for 2021-22 school year

The federal government has extended its program for free breakfast and lunch for all students until June 30, 2022. However, we are asking families to continue to submit applications to West Irondequoit Food Service Department even in lieu of the free meal program in 2021-2022 because:

- If the Federal government decides to release a new batch of P-EBT Food benefit cards to families during the pandemic, as it did last year, they may not qualify if there is not a current application on file.

- If the Federal government, at any point, decides to discontinue the free program for all.

- A current application will allow students to be temporarily eligible for the first 30 operational days of the next school year. This will give families time to put in a new application for next year once the reapplication process begins over the summer.

Students who request fee waivers for things like AP exams or college applications will not qualify for the fee waiver if they do not have a current application on file.

All students opting for a free breakfast or lunch MUST take all the lunch components. Any lunch items bought a la carte (including milk only purchases) are NOT covered under the waiver and must be paid for. This also includes snacks, doubles, water bottles, and ice cream.

Prior to the pandemic, we asked families to fill out free-and-reduced applications before the annual Oct. 17th deadline to ensure their children received benefits until the following October school year. Submit via this link:
