The West Irondequoit Central School District is proud to announce the return to the stage of West Irondequoit Performing Arts for this year’s musical, “Bright Star,” written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. There will be two performances by Irondequoit High School students at the IHS Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 19-20.

All current COVID-19 safety guidance will be followed by cast, crew, school staff and the limited audience in attendance. The musical will be live streamed for $10. Access to the live video can be purchased at https://irondequoit.booktix.com.

As for the live audience, each cast member and production crew member will be allotted two tickets per night to sell to family/friends. No one else will be admitted. Rehearsals are well under way. Click here to view a picture gallery on our Facebook page!

For safety reasons, we regrettably will not be offering our annual Senior Citizens’ Night pre-show performance. We welcome the entire community to watch via the live stream.

Shrek, the musical, is being planned for Dake Junior High School for May 2021. Look for more details soon. These will be the first two live performances for our students since the onset of the pandemic last spring.
