The West Irondequoit Central School District Board of Education has appointed Mrs. Michelle Cramer the district’s new Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources, as the veteran educator and administrator takes the next step in a career that started in 1995. Currently the Principal at West Irondequoit’s Dake Junior High School, Mrs. Cramer is expected to start in her new role on July 1.

She replaces Dr. Tim Terranova, who departed in February to become Superintendent of Victor Central Schools. This is Cramer’s fourth different position in West Irondequoit, following leadership roles at Dake (2016-present) and as Principal of Brookview and Seneca elementary schools (2008-16). She also taught second grade at Listwood elementary (2002-05).

“Michelle stood out at every step of the process for her poise, personality and depth of knowledge,” said Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Aaron Johnson. “With her experience in the WICSD, Michelle has a deep understanding of our core commitments and special working knowledge of what makes our school district so special – the people and community.”

Cramer’s career started at Palmyra-Macedon in 1995 as a middle school reading specialist and teacher. She moved to Listwood in 2002, then spent three years in the Victor Central School District as a K-3 assistant principal before returning to West Irondequoit in 2008.
