West Irondequoit Recognizes Faculty Accomplishments December 19, 2008

The West Irondequoit Board of Education began their December 18 meeting by recognizing the accomplishments of district faculty during 2008. The staff members and their achievements are:

Bev Engel, West Irondequoit Teacher’s Association President,
Colleen Graham, Brookview and Seneca Schools Counselor, earned Counselor Certification from National Board for Certified Counselors,
Kristin Graham, IHS vocal music teacher, selected to be an Advanced Placement (AP) exam reader for AP Music Theory,
Sue Fabel, Dake English Language Arts teacher, NYS Educator of Excellence Award by the NYS English Council,
Karen Finter, Director of the Teaching Learning Center, presented at the 2008 Teaching and Learning Celebration in New York City and at Collaboration 2008 sponsored by the Rochester Area Colleges Center for Excellence for Math and Science,
Chuck Perreaud, Board of Education President.

Megan McElhinney, Dake Junior High counselor, Earned Counselor Certification from National Board for Certified Counselors,
Steve Schockow, Dake Junior High social studies teacher, NYS Social Studies Teacher of the Year by the NYS Council for the Social Studies.
