Beanies for Baghdad

Thirteen boxes filled with Beanie Babies are on their way to our American troops in Iraq as part of a program called “Beanies for Baghdad.” The soldiers will give them out to Iraqi children.

Staff and students at Dake Junior High collected over 1,000 stuffed animals during the month of April. In addition to the Beanies bound for Baghdad, five large bags of worn animals were donated to the Lollipop Farm for the animal cages. The project was coordinated through the school’s Service Learning program.
