Board of Education to Hold Information Session January 9, 2009 |

The West Irondequoit School Board invites district residents to join them for a dialogue on the role and responsibilities of a school board member. The board is made up of seven district residents, who serve as volunteers. The board sets policy for the school district; policy which is put into action by the superintendent and his staff. Members are elected to office at the District Vote in May and serve three-year terms. Terms are staggered so that two or three seats are open each year. There will be three seats open in May 2009.
