Fast Facts

  • Residents are asked to vote on the dissolution of the Property Loss and Liability Reserve on February 11, 2013.

  • The reserve holds 3.5 million dollars.

  • If approved, money in the reserve will be used as sustainable revenue for future budgets and to replenish reserves that have been spent down to mitigate the tax rate for the next several years.

  • Liquidating the reserve will not cost taxpayers any money.

  • Funds in the reserve can only be used to pay claims against the district. Current insurance practices and the newness and upkeep of our properties negate the risk of such claims.
